Remdesivir giving positive data as an "antiviral drug" against COVID-19 or is it "Favipiravir” ?

In an open letter sent out on April 4, Gilead CEO Daniel O’Day explained that multiple clinical trials have been set up to determine whether Remdesivir is a safe and effective treatment for COVID-19. Gilead Sciences, Inc., is an American biopharmaceutical company that researches, develops and commercializes drugs. The company focuses primarily on antiviral drugs used in the treatment of HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and influenza etc. Gilead Sciences tweeted few days ago 

“ It’s impossible is not impossible, its simply that hasn’t been achieved yet” several negative experiments results to fight against this novel viral infection, giving  killing drastically thousands of people not in America but worldwide. Health expertise declared this viral “incurable” giving up on hope but this recent tweet of Gilead Sci, is a light in hopeless world. Gilead reported “positive data” emerging from their latest trials. Gilead reporting, Remdesivir  "positive antiviral drug" for novel corona virus pandemic in their latest emerging data.  According to developer Gilead Sciences:

“We understand that the trial has met its primary endpoint and that NIAID will provide detailed information at an upcoming briefing,” said Gilead in a statement released 29 April, 2020.”

Remdesivir experimented on critical or moderate COVID-19 patients are the resulted data went 4% above than the results which were observed through earlier experiment.

In U.S, Remdesivir is awaiting as a positive anti-viral which was previously used to treat EBOLA patients. Ebola is not viral like COVID-19, it is rare but deadly virus that causes body pains, diarrhea and internal external body bleeding. Its vaccine is not discovered yet to eradicate it completely. In America, Remdesivir showed positive results in some experiments. Although it is considered as anti-viral but doctors didn’t recommend to take any prescription without consultation.  Remdesivir did not show benefits in a trial in China, according to reports that emerged last week.

 It was revealed that China suspended two clinical trials for remdesivir, saying that the "epidemic has been controlled well at present." China has controlled this viral disease to some extent and “Wuhan” the city of china from where this virus was originated initially and back to its normal life repressing lock-down. China initially controlled the Covid-19 Outbreak was Traditional Chinese Medicine Concoctions Used Alone or in Conjunction with Antiviral Protocols. Chinese medical authorities have claimed that an antiviral drug called “Favipiravir” has shown promise in treating COVID-19 patients, showing positive improvement in Covid-19 infectious in just few days. “It has a high degree of safety and is clearly effective in treatment,” Zhang Xinmin, an official at China’s science and technology ministry, told reporters IN MIDS of March, 2020 since when the China’s pandemic is under control. The drug, known also by its market name Avigan and developed by a Japanese Fujifilm subsidiary called Fujifilm Toyama Chemical, was reportedly able to turn COVID-19 tests negative for those who were infected after just four days as part of a trial involving 240 patients from Wuhan, China, and 80 patients in Shenzhen. Without treatment, the median time was 11 days, according to the reports of “The Guardian.” But it’s far from perfect at stopping the spread of the deadly virus.

World health organizations and NIAID (NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ALLERGY AND INFECTIOUS DISEASE) are experimenting several antivirals to fight against the breakout of coronavirus. The various trials of remdesivir have come under intense scrutiny yet.
